Ivo Zander is the Anders Wall Professor of Entrepreneurship at Uppsala University. He received his Ph.D. from the Institute of International Business, Stockholm School of Economics, and his academic training includes fellowships at the Harvard Business School, SCANCOR at Stanford University, and Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

Before moving into the field of entrepreneurship, Professor Zander conducted research on regional agglomerations and the internationalization of research and development in multinational corporations, with a particular focus on how international innovation networks have changed the multinational’s innovation capacity and innovation processes. His current research interests include corporate entrepreneurship, the entrepreneurial dynamics of accelerated internationalization, strategies for entrepreneurial firms, and art entrepreneurship. He teaches entrepreneurship, strategic management, and various aspects of growing and managing the international firm, including foreign market entry, innovation and entrepreneurship in the established multinational corporation, and strategies in global competition.

Professor Zander was co-founder of Latvian Limousine Services and has served on the board of Kumlins Holding AB, a leading and rapidly expanding firm in painting services. He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and the Arts, Aesthetics, Creativity, and Organization Research Network (AACORN). He has served as an expert evaluator for the Swedish Research Council and the Knowledge Foundation, and is a current member of the prize committee for The Akzo Nobel Science Award Sweden.
