Application and admission
Before each semester you need to apply, answer and register on time.
- What happens after your application?
- What happens if you forget to accept a place?
- Admitted with conditions
- Deferral of studies
All students, even those registered on a Programme, need to apply for the courses they want to study the next semester. The application in made through antagning.se/universityadmissions.se no later than 15 April for the autumn semester and 15 October for the spring semester. If you are enrolled in any of our Master's Programmes, there is information for you on how to apply within the Programme.
At the University's site about application you can find information on how many credits you can be admitted to each semester.
It may be possible to apply even after the deadline. Late applicants are admitted if there are places left after the regular admission is completed.
It's very important that you reply to your offer in the first Notification of Selection Results. If you don't reply by the deadline, you will lose any places that you've been offered. Courses where there is a possibility for admission of more students will open up for late application. If the course is not open for late applications, then it is too late to apply.
If you don't fulfill the requirements when you apply, but an assessment is made that you might fulfill the requirements before the course begins, then you will be condidionally admitted. You must be able to prove that you fulfill the requirements in order to accept your place.
If you are admitted and want to delay the commencement of your studies, you can apply for deferment of studies.
