During the third semester you have the opportunity to do an Internship, study abroad or take optional courses. The requirements for the fourth semester, 45 credits within the Programme, must be fulfilled when the spring semester starts and thus might affect your choice.
The Internship gives you the opportunity to test the knowledge you have received during your Programme studies in a real workplace. In order to be eligible for the Internship, you must have passed 30 credits within the Master’s Programme. Please find more information on the Internship website.
You can also choose to study abroad at one of our Partner Universities around the world. You can choose to go either through the Department of Business Studies, or through the Division for Internationalisation. Please note that they have different deadlines for application, so make sure that you have the correct date.
If you apply for optional courses at Uppsala University you need to remember that you are not guaranteed a place. As these courses may be very popular it is important that you give more than one choice. When selecting students, priority is given according to the number of credits taken during earlier semesters on the Master's Programme at Uppsala University. If you are not certain what courses you can choose from, in order to fulfil the requirements for your Master’s degree, please contact the Student Counsellor for further information.
If you have taken previous courses and want to include them instead of the options mentioned above, please contact the Student Counsellor for further advice and information, to make sure that you meet the requirements for a degree.
If you are a fee paying student or have been awarded a scholarship, you must make sure that your tuition fee or scholarship covers the courses. Please contact the tuition fee coordinators or the scholarship coordinators.
